School Crest

The elements within the School Crest signify the essence of Gateway College.

The colours used in the Crest have significance of their own: Blue and Grey signify School colours; Red represents power and energy; and White represents purity.

The two Sri Lankan Lions holding the shield depict courage and bravery, and represent the Sri Lankan identity of the School.

The Golden Eagle represents the School’s highest award in sports.

The Globe signifies international education, while the Arrow represents Gateway’s advancement in technology.

The Book depicts knowledge, while the Torch signifies enlightenment.

The three Interwoven Squares represent teamwork and a sense of belonging between Parent, Teacher, and Student, whereas the three colours of the diagonals, Orange, Green, and Maroon, signify the Communities of Sri Lanka and identify the School as being multi-ethnic and multi-religious.
