Gateway College, Kandy
One of the first International schools in Sri Lanka, formerly known as Kandy International School was brought under the wings of Gateway in 2000. Now, the leading International School in Kandy with a student population of 1200, provides education from 2 ½ to 18 years of age with classes from Play Group to Advanced Level. The Campus in Kandy housed at Asgiriya, is in close proximity to the renowned Asgiriya cricket stadium. The location, which is just one kilometer away from the Kandy Town, boasts of a panoramic view. The school attracts students from towns as far as Kurunegala, Matale, Gampola and Nuwara Eliya.

Mr. Canagasabey started his educational career in 1988 as a Graduate teacher of Botany and Agriculture. Later, he joined the Eastern University of Sri Lanka as the Head of Sports and Physical Education where he went onto serve for 11 years. Whilst at the Eastern University he also served as a visiting lecturer in Child Psychology and Educational Psychology. In 2004, he
was called to serve as the Headmaster of S. Thomas College Gurutalawa, where he founded and implemented the Preschool and Bi-lingual medium of education. Later he joined Trinity College Kandy as the Vice Principal where he served from 2007 to 2014. Prior to joining the Gateway, he served as the Registrar at the prestigious General Sir John Kotelawela Defence University
Ratmalana. Mr. Canagasabey also served as the Manager of Hillwood College Kandy and as an Advisory Board Member of the Church Missionary Society.
Mr. Canagasabey holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Special Honors) degree from the Eastern University of Sri Lanka and a Master of Science in Organizational Management from the Post Graduate Institute of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya. In, addition he has obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from the National Institute of Education Maharagama, a Diploma in Child Psychology (Hons) from the American College of Higher Education and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Open University of Sri Lanka, Nawala. He is currently awaiting the results of his Master of Science in Applied Psychology from the Colombo Institute of Research and Psychology.
Gladwin is a National Champion in Javelin throw and Shot putt and his record in Javelin established in 1981 at the interuniversity Mini Olympics competition/SLUG, still stands to his credit. His career in education and administration spans over a period of 29 years, during which time, he has made important strides in the educational system in Sri Lanka with emphasis on pastoral care.
